Dr. Jim Thomas has been providing psychological services locally for over eighteen years for individuals and couples. He has worked in a variety of settings including hospitals, community clinics, and local churches. He has a Doctor of Psychology degree in Clinical Psychology from George Fox University. He also studied Bible and Theology for two years at Talbot School of Theology, Biola University. Dr. Thomas has additional training in treating trauma, anxiety, and depression. He has completed Level II training or EMDR through the EMDR International Association (EMDRIA), Sensorimotor Psychotherapy Training for the Treatment of Trauma through the Sensorimotor Psychotherapy Institute. Additionally, Dr. Thomas regularly participates in ongoing education and review of the latest research to keep his knowledge and skills current.
Jim is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with the state of Washington and is a member of four professional counseling associations, the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC), the American Psychological Association (APA), the International Society for the Study of Dissassociation (ISSD), and EMDRIA.
